1. Go to Bed Early:
Lack of sleep lowers your immune system and excessive tiredness can make little problems seem huge. Make getting more sleep a priority.
2. Take a Deep Breath:
Focus on your breathing for just a couple of minutes. Taking proper deep breaths from the diaphragm, so that your stomach rises as well as your chest.
3. Have a Giggle:
Laughter improves your circulation and releases endorphins that help to reduce tension. Half an hour in front of your favourite comedy programme is time well spent.
4. Write it Down:
If you feel life is getting on top of you, write down all the things you're worried about. Seeing them on paper will clear your mind and help you to prioritise
5. Wash Away Your Cares:
Hot water relaxes your muscles, so have a long hot bath, with a splash of a relaxing aromatherapy oil, such as lavender for good measure.
