Good Morning

Good Morning! If it is a good morning - it stands to reason it will be a good day! The way you wake up in the morning has a great deal with how you’ll feel all day! If you start in a rush, you may feel you’ll never catch up. If you start off in a disorganized way - you may well miss breakfast, and cheat mid-morning! Give yourself plenty of time - allow at least an extra fifteen minutes by setting your clock to go off earlier. What you lose in sleep, you’ll gain in peace of mind!

Don’t rush; it’s too much of a shock to your body. Only the very fit or very young can rush in the mornings with no ill effects. Gentle stretches and deep breathing is the best way to start your day.

If you wake with puffy eyes, stop using any cream - even specially designed ones on them before retiring. Many people find that night creams cause puffiness. Make time for your daily shower or bath, preferably a shower because they are the best liveners in the morning - but either way use only just warm water, never hot as it’s far too drying for your skin, and contributes to broken capillaries etc., finish off with as cold water as you can manage.

Then, most importantly make time for your balanced breakfast.

Which will deliver sustained and give your blood sugar the steady boost it needs to counter its natural overnight dip. A less substantial, less balanced breakfast may send it shooting up in the short term, but this can be quickly followed by a repaid fall - which will leave you feeling hungry again.
