Jayne's Weight Loss Story So Far......
Before

I began dieting from my early 20's I was what was classed as a yo-yo dieter. I began to gain weight through emotional problems, but the weight I gained, the more miserable and down in myself I felt. Whenever I was going out with friends I would get really upset and feel quite depressed. This was due to the fact I could never find any clothes that was fashionable to fit me. Whatever I wore would mostly be black, baggy and shapeless clothes.

During the summer my friends would look good in tight jeans and strappy t-shirts, I would feel really miserable. Occasionally this sent me into a downward spiral where I would simply eat because I felt so bad about myself; I would get comfort from food. The problem with comfort eating is that you eat because you feel bad about yourself and then you are left feeling guilty and start all over again.

At 38 I gave birth to a lovely baby boy called Lucas, while I was pregnant I gained a lot of weight and was treated for diabetes. Lucas was taking my sugar which made him a big baby, two days before I was due I was advised to have a caesarean, my recovery was very slow, my weight ballooned, and this made me feel worse.

I've tried many diets but felt I did not get the support I needed so soon gave up. I moved to Shelfield, Walsall,about 6 years ago. My partners parents live in Aldridge, I noticed a new class was opening at a local pub and decided enough was enough. I went along on my own not knowing anybody, very nervous. As soon as I went in everyone made me very welcome and at ease straight away. Wendy the group leader and Janet the clerk were great. I started to feel positive almost straight away because to the great support of all the members, Wendy and Janet.

Slowly the weight started to come off and I couldsee results, which really picked me up.My weight is now the lightest it has been for years and my confidence has raised 10 fold, this is one diet I intend to stick to.

I go to class every Monday and have only ever missed one class due to Lucas being ill. I walk to class no matter what the weather and most times walk home again.

I must mention once again the brilliant support from Wendy and Janet, I could not have done this without them, their kindness and encouragement every week spurs me on to attend class and never miss a session. Excellent - Thank

Starting Weight = 12st 8lbs
Total Weight Loss = 1st 3lbs
Weight Now = 11st 5lbs
