Looking back I can't believe how my life has changed over the last 18 months. For a Christmas meal I had bought a dress (size 22) but was horrified by what I saw. I made it my New Year's resolution to lose weight. I joined Super Slim in January 1997 weighing 15st 13lbs and started the Fatbuster diet. By May 1997 I had lost 49lbs and by Christmas 86 lbs. I had a slight setback at Christmas gaining 10 lbs. It took until the middle of March 1998 to lose but taught me a valuable lesson - my group leader's encouragement helped me to lose the excess pounds . By the end of March 1998 I reached target. I still attend class each week to help support other members. The day I joined Super Slim was the start of the rest of my life.
