On the morning of 1st April 2002 the harrowing daily ritual of trying to sort something out of my wardrobe for work that fit! I was down to 2 tops, 1 skirt and 1 pair of trousers (both of which had elasticated waist)

I am a clerical worker for the NHS and trying to make these four items of clothing see me thought a whole week was getting ridiculous. I had to wash them every night!

My wardrobe now consisted of sizes 12, 14, 16, 20, and 22's the latter of which were getting decidedly tight. The turning point had come. I needed to join a slimming club.

I joined the Super Slim Club on Bently Estate on 3rd April 2002. Since then I have lost over 3 stones and have dropped 3 dress sizes and into the bargain my long-term partner Gary of 8 ½ years has asked me to marry him. I have said yes, but with the proviso that I will not get
married until I can buy a size 14 wedding outfit. Hopefully, we will be getting married in May 2004. What better incentive could I have?
