Hot Versus Cold
For you, or your family, there is nothing that makes a meal better for you if it's hot, rather than cold. What really counts is the food itself.

Take for example a packed lunch of a chicken sandwich, tomato, a plain biscuit with an ounce of cheese, plus an apple, or a hot lunch of fried sausage, mashed potato, steamed pudding and custard.
Both contain the same amount of calories approximately, but the cold lunch has much more protein and vitamins. The roast beef you cooked with vegetables has just as much nutrition when you serve it later with salad and pickles. So, the idea of a 'good hot meal' which is most enjoyable is just as good for you as a 'good cold meal'. We just need to get used to the idea, that's all! If we lived in a hot climate it would come automatically. On a cold day a hot meal seems much more appealing but it's no better for you.
