Is Fast Food Fattening?
We have a diet at Super Slim called the Lifestyle Diet. This diet is brilliant for those who love fast food. On this diet you can eat fast food once a week, as part of your main diet. With the ‘free’ diets the calories discovered in this quiz all need to be counted as an extra. Please do not mix up the Lifestyle diet with the ‘free diets’.
Try this quiz with your Members, its great fun. Divide Members up into groups of about 5 or 6 and make one the team leader. Give the team leader some paper and a pen. Tell teams you want no cheating.
Imagine you are going out for a treat tonight. Not really of course but only in your mind!
1. How many calories would you say were in a Big Mac..from Mcdonald’s? Answer: 486 cals.
2. How many calories would you say were in a carton of regular fries from McDonald’s. Answer: 267 cals. (So if we had a Big Mac and regular fries that would be 753 cals)
3. Now we are going to have a large strawberry milkshake which would be how many calories? Answer: 484 cals.
4. Some of us would prefer Kentucky Fried Chicken. How many calories would you say would be in Chicken for one with Barbecue Beans and Chips. Answer: 595 cals.
5. How about an average portion of fish and chips (Without the Curry Sauce) how many calories would you count? Answer: 850 cals.
6. One slice of bread and butter to go with the Fish and Chips. That’s a one ounce slice of bread and 1/2 an ounce of butter or Marg. Answer: 175 cals (So, fish and chips with bread and butter as a meal would add up to 1025 cals.)
7. How about some dessert? Ice Cream perhaps? Lets say a Magnum Classic. How many calories? Answer: 295 cals.
8. Or you may prefer the white chocolate Magnum? Answer: 300 cals.
Now for some drink to wash it down!
9 1/2 a pint of strong cider what would you count? Answer: 150 cals.
10 Better still a measure of sparkling white wine? Answer: 120 cals.
