Downwards first: To shave underarms, use warm water and soap, then shave first with downwards strokes, then re-lather and shave in the opposite direction, this helps your defuzz to last much longer.

The sting: Deodorants don't work properly even on two-day old fuzz! They will simply prove to be less and less efficient as the hair grows. Conversely, if you apply a strong anti-perspirant immediately after shaving it will sting. So apply a finely milled deodorant talc as soon as you have shaved.

Leave alone: Fine down on arms is quite normal and best left alone. If your arm hair is very dark or particularly heavy, bleach it rather than remove it. Never ever shave.
