We are inclined to put our own, rather different definitions to words and sayings when dieting and have come across these amusing variations.

a strip of leather that shrinks in direct proportion to the wearer's willpower!

Doomsday Book:

the daily record of exactly what you've really eaten

Five-course meal:

pre-dinner nibbles, starter, main course, dessert and of course,  leftovers!!

Narrow escape:

P.M.T.:

post meal trauma or the realisation that you've just scoffed 4000 calories

Skin-tight:

clothes that were unfortunately, last year's baggy clothes

Slim into it:

buy, keep looking at, keep for a year, then give away

Square meal:

stack of six Kit Kats
