Will  it be a 'Slim' Year?

Were you feeling a little drained or perhaps even depressed with all that rushing around for Christmas. When the only pounds you lost were those that came out of your purse.  With all that over-eating during Christmas, has it left you several pounds heavier and little to look forward to except those cold, dark wintery nights, is that how YOU feel? Well, stop right there, now is the time to plan ahead, to plan for the New Year.

You have already taken step one, you have returned to class, nearly everyone has put weight on, we have enjoyed and indulged ourselves, we've had a wonderful time haven't we?  Good, we're glad!  Now, let's get settled down to some serious slimming.

January

  1. You have been weighed.
  2. Refresh your memory of your diet.
  3. Plan your shopping and stock up on the 'right' items.
  4. Take a Truth Sheet.
  5. Even more importantly - bring your truth sheet back next week, completed!

We can't promise its going to be the easiest thing you've ever done, but just think, did you say to yourself (possibly even more than once) during 1992, "I don't know where the year has gone"?  So, turn the thought right the way round, before you know it, you'll BE Slim!

Take yourself forward in your thoughts to:-

February: Did you do something about your weight in January, are you half a stone lighter?  Are you now on the way to being slim, planning holidays for the new slim you?

March: How wonderful, you've put the winter months to really good use, you are at least a stone lighter than your post Christmas weight - don't you feel good?  You're really looking forward to the Summer.  O.K. you may have struggled for the odd week here and there but you pulled yourself through it and it's worth it!

April: Did you see the sun today and we don't mean the paper!  Did you see the girls in their short sleeves and lighter clothes.  Thank goodness you dieted during the Winter, isn't it just super to be one of them, not like last year when you were in  'baggy' clothes all through the year.  After all, one and a half stone lighter - who needs them!?!

May: We often have really beautiful weather in May.  Warm days, blue skies and all the flowers and buds bursting - but NOT YOU!  You're dieting - you're resembling more the delicate flowers!  (Pause for laughter) Your partner is absolutely thrilled with the New You, he's offered to take you away for the weekend.  Aren't you glad you persevered with the diet thus far, perhaps you're already at Target?

June: Your energy level is increasing, all your friends and neighbours are noticing and passing compliments on your weight loss.

July: Summer days are really here.  Remember last year when perspiration was a problem, when you stopped wearing tights and the tops of your legs rubbed together?  No such problems now!

August: Holiday month! Well, you've just been on holiday and come along to weigh in.  A gain!  Just a small one - so what!  You enjoyed your holiday and have wonderful memories to savour, you indulged yourself a little but you'll soon lose that!  Just think this year's photographs will have pride of place - not be pushed in a drawer because you're ashamed of the way you looked in  them, in fact you're rather proud of yourself!

September: Depending on how much you had to lose and how strict you've been, of course, is tonight going to be the night when you are presented with your certificate stating that you HAVE ACHIEVED your TARGET WEIGHT! Three and a half stone lighter and you lost it at the rate of just a couple of pounds a week.

October: Well, the nights are starting to draw in so, it's back to Winter clothes BUT not those 'old baggys'.  Oh no, your new jumpers and jeans snugly fit your new figure.  Who would have thought that you would ever look forward to Winter clothes.

November: Bonfire night!  Do you remember last year when you 'pigged out' on all those hot dogs and burgers and other fatty foods.  It seems just like a life time away.

December: Christmas is here again, hasn't this year gone quickly!!!  But, Oh boy, What a Year.  Just imagine if you hadn't dieted you'd be sitting here after Christmas, depressed, boated and feeling very sorry for yourself.  But instead.............

Now, it's the present time, your successful, wonderful year ahead is in your own hands, with our help and assistance naturally.  You may feel you have plenty of time, but be warned, it passes so quickly.

If you have just one bad month you will need another month to make up for it, you can do this of course, but how much do you need to lose in order that you can make up that much time and still be at target for when you want to be.

What are YOU going to achieve this year?
