Slimming spicy tomato sauce
Serves 4

- 4 tablespoons chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 oz light brown sugar
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- pinch allspice
- salt and pepper
- 1lb tin tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons tomato purée or paste
Method
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, cook uncovered until the sauce reduces and thickens.
Remove the bay leaf.
Blend the sauce in a food processor until smooth and then reheat.
This sauce is very tasty on either chicken, fish or meat.
