Colin Pritchard joined 3rd June 1993 - weight 20 stone 1lb.Colin walked through the door of the Salvation Army Community Centre doors looking very nervous, my first impression of him was that of any other of my new members, he was nervous, he needed taking in hand and putting at ease. The ladies all saw to that - to say he had his leg pulled over the next few months was an understatement, but in true Colin fashion he took it all on the chin. He lost 25 lbs in his first month and was full of inspiration and enthusiasm, there was no holding him back - he always completed a Truth Sheet paying attention to his treats very accurately, which always impressed me. I only once caught him out over coconut, he was having about 8 oz one day - but again we laughed and put it right. There were days I felt he could do my job as he was doing so well and my diet was rather suffering and at one point both Colin and his wife were spurring me on. He was at target in six months and had lost 88 lbs, he was due to go on holiday, so we agreed a few extra pounds off were o.k. as he was going to Disney World (doughnuts etc.) and he wanted to enjoy all the delights. He went on to lose a further 10 lbs, which he regained on his holidays, but to my amazement he lost it again in a matter of about six weeks and has maintained his weight at about 13 stone 6 lbs ever since. Words alone do not convey his success, his photos bring it home - he is a slim handsome fellow who is now expecting his first child - I wish both him and his wife all the very best for their future, but I think we will all stay in touch as I can't see Colin ever wanting to put the weight back on again. All our thanks to you for the inspiration you gave us all. P.S. He was originally dieting for a wedding, he was best man to one of my other group members, they all looked great on the day. I was invited to the night 'do' and must say the bride who was one of my members lost 42 lbs, the best man Colin 88 lbs and mother-in-law 14 lbs. |
