This wonderful poem was sent to us from Lilian Toon - a member of our Chuckery club

Please Lord help me through the day
Don't put temptation in my way
Let not my will be turned aside
By chocolate cake and food that's fried

Let me remember bulging hips
And resolutely shun the chips
I also pray that heaven save me
From roast potatoes dunked in gravy

If to the larder door I stray
Turn my steps the other way
And further more, see I don't sin
At midnight with the biscuit tin

If I ' the diet' strictly follow
And not one extra sin I swallow
If I am good I'll see one day
Unsightly poundage melt away!

Thanks Lilian.
