Dieting Cooking Instructions

Sauces

All jar, packet and tinned sauces must be counted as extra calories.

Fat

Do not cook with added fat.  Remove all visible fat from meat.  Remove all skin from chicken.

Seasoning

Unlimited herbs and spices can be used for flavour.

Gravy

This must be thin made with a stock cube or gravy powder.  Not granules.

Salt

Reduce your salt intake or even cut it out completely.

Cooking methods

Poach, boil, microwave, steam, dry fry, bake, grill and roast.  Nothing should be eaten in batter or bread crumbs unless it forms part of a convenience meal (300 calories maximum).
